Ernie's office is here to help you navigate federal government services — at no charge, for all residents of South Surrey–White Rock.
As your Member of Parliament, Ernie and his constituency team are here to help by contacting federal departments on your behalf if you're experiencing delays, denials, or challenges accessing government services.
Call, email, or visit our Surrey constituency office. Explain the issue you're facing with a federal government service or department.
Our team will review your situation, ask any clarifying questions, and obtain your written consent to act on your behalf.
We contact the relevant federal department, follow up regularly, and keep you informed every step of the way until your case is resolved.
We are happy to guide you through the process of dealing with the many different federal departments, programs, and services. We can provide information and assistance related to any of the following areas, and more:
Help navigating Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) when your case is stalled or you need support.
Immigration is one of the most common reasons constituents reach out to Ernie's office. IRCC processes millions of applications each year, and delays or complications are unfortunately common. Ernie's office can help by contacting IRCC directly to inquire about the status of your application and, where appropriate, flag humanitarian or urgency considerations.
We can assist with:
Contact Ernie's Surrey office to get started. We'll ask for your name, contact info, IRCC application number, and written consent to inquire on your behalf.
Assistance when travel documents are delayed or you need urgent help before an important trip.
Passport delays can be stressful — especially when you have a booked trip, a family emergency, or a time-sensitive work obligation. If you're experiencing an urgent passport situation, Ernie's office may be able to contact Service Canada's Passport Program on your behalf to flag the urgency of your case.
We can assist with:
For emergency passport situations, please call our Surrey office directly during business hours. Email for non-urgent passport inquiries.
Help accessing EI, CPP, OAS, GIS, and other federal benefits you've earned and are entitled to receive.
Service Canada administers many of the benefits that Canadians rely on — Employment Insurance, the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, and more. When delays or errors occur with these programs, it can cause real hardship. Ernie's office can contact Service Canada on your behalf to inquire about delays, request expedited processing in hardship situations, and help clarify complex eligibility questions.
We can assist with:
Contact our office with your full name, date of birth, SIN (or claim number), and a description of the issue. We'll take it from there.
Ensuring those who served Canada receive the recognition, benefits, and support they have earned.
Canada's veterans deserve nothing less than the full support they earned through their service. If you or a family member is experiencing difficulties accessing Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) benefits or services, Ernie's office can help navigate the system and advocate on your behalf.
We can assist with:
Ernie is committed to ensuring veterans receive the respect and support they deserve. Contact our office and we will prioritize your case.
Crown Corporations, federal funding for community organizations, petitions to Parliament, Canadian flags & pins, and more.
Ernie's office can help with a wide range of additional federal services beyond the ones listed above. From recognizing your community organization with a Canadian flag, to helping you table a petition in the House of Commons, to connecting you with the right federal Crown Corporation — we're here to help.
